Macroeconomics: An Evolutionary Approach is a comprehensive survey of economic thoughts, from the era of before Adam Smith until the recent ones. The important question which is attempted to be answered in this book is "how does a macroeconomy function?".
This book starts the exposition from Classical Economics, Keynesian, Neo Classical-Keynesian Synthesis, Monetarism, New Classical Revolution, and New Macroeconomics subsequently. The firs three paradigms apply the Hagelian theory, which oare orthodoxy in nature. They are replacing one and each other. The last three paradigms are further improvement of the firs fhree, and yet still developing.
